That's the sort of thing that will get the boos going. Couple of times we had free kicks in a decent position but all we did was take them quickly and end up back in our own half within seconds. Couple of times the thrower didn't even bother looking for a forward option and chucked it straight back.

People will accept passing backwards and sideways if there's no other options, or to shift the ball around. We did it for years and nobody cared. They won't accept it as a first option.

You’ve just hit my major annoyance so far smack on the snout. The only option considered is back, especially my mr you know who. I so want to be supportive and patient but the involuntary ‘ffs go forward’ has escaped my lips quite a lot for three games.
