• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Some might argue that the handball for the second disallowed goal was as close to marginal as could be but ultimately the job of VAR is to catch these kinds of things and so far the semi automated VAR for offsides has been excellent I think. Between 1 and 2 minutes on average to come to a decision with officials only having to check for infringements.

The ITV commentary on the rulings and discussion I agree with earlier posts has made the whole thing significantly better for the TV viewer.

In any case a huge result for Slovakia and once again Belgium are their own worst enemy against what one would call greatly inferior opposition.

France play with a pace beyond most other top international teams.

The England camp must be bricking it after watching the mighty French tonight. Feel sorry for Austria, better team on the night imo. Still at least they scored.

Austria unlucky not to get anything from that. The French pace on the break is amazing, but ultimately they couldn’t capitalise n it.
