• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Fish doing well.

That save from Idah was more a failure on the striker for me.

I love this revisionism that's being spouted about the Fish.
OK, Martin's playing out from the back didn't help him, but he's the crappest keeper I've ever seen in a Swans shirt, and I've been going since 1967. He couldn't catch a cold, he froze with fear every time a shot or cross came in, and I shat myself every time the ball went near him. That is NOT a good sign.
But that’s what happens to a keeper with no confidence.

Celtic were poor, but if I were watching that game today without knowing how bad Fisher had been down here, I'd be thinking St Johnston had a very good goalkeeper on their hands.

Can only be a good thing for us in regards to getting a fee close to what we payed for him.

Can’t understand some of the hatred for fish, not on this forum but on other platforms. Didn’t see today’s game which he was involved in but had a decent game by all accounts. I think the football we played under Martin with a cb pairing of darling and Cabango who weren’t the greatest then, left him seriously exposed at times and didn’t help his confidence. I genuinely wish him well, going forward.

He's better than Jon McLaughlin as a backup to Vigouroux, in all my years of supporting the Swans, McLaughlin is the biggest waste of a wage than anyone else imho
To be fair a training cone is better than McLaughlin

The click bait headline for the sky sports highlights suggested it was a worldie of a save.
Watching it you can only say it was a failure of the striker, he hit the ball straight at Fisher.
Would have been harder to dive out of the way.

By all accounts though St Johnstone seem to be happy with him and he is having a positive confidence boosting time there. If we got 500k-1m for him with only a year left on his contract it would be excellent business.

Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden, 3 pm: Celtic v St Johnstone. Let's see if the Fish can get another Man of the Match? (Hopefully not.)

Beyond any shadow of a doubt, the worst pure goalkeeper I've seen in my 35 years watching the Swans.

By "pure" I don't mean the bells and whistles like his passing ability, I mean just basic stuff like shot stopping, making himself look big in 1v1s, claiming crosses, etc. Have never seen a GK lack presence in the way he does.

The signing that more or less finished Martin off here.
'The signing that more or less finished Martin off here.'
Every cloud eh!😁👍

The way he used to run back towards his line (often behind it) to make the goal bigger as a forward approached was a thing of beauty…for the opposition.

He’s utter crap.
