Why do the Americans leave it to the last minute to either sell or complete deals, they've done it every season
Yet his former manager at Southampton publicly criticised him as well?crazedbison said:Does anyone else see it as troubling that a team vying for automatic promotion is sniffing around a player of ours (Obafemi) who can’t seem to get consistent playing time?
Tells me that despite all his other issues, perhaps Rusty Marlin’s man management is the biggest problem of them all?

Jamie Paterson, forward, Swansea
This is a classic case of everyone putting two and two together and getting five, and it’s easy to see why. The Coventry-born, self-confessed Sky Blues fan has always had a knack of scoring against his hometown club and has been greatly admired by Mark Robins in the past, the manager having tried to sign him twice – once while at Huddersfield and, more recently, two summers ago when he switched from Bristol City to South Wales. The 31-year-old was in brilliant form last season when he provided nine assists and nine goals for the Swans but has this season fallen out of favour with boss Russell Martin, so much so he has been left out of the last four matchday squads. Martin has made no secret of the fact that there’s been interest in the lively forward and is clearly prepared to let him go this January. Reports from Wales claim Coventry are interested.
Verdict: While he’s just the type of player Robins is looking for and everything would appear to fit, CoventryLive understands the Sky Blues are not currently pursuing an interest in the player.
