Can anyone else remember it all around the Sandfields on a match day in the seventies where someone would put a dustbin outside their house then lean a ladder off it to keep the parking space for themselves?
I can remember it clearly but I was talking to a mate earlier and he had no idea what I was talking about.

I remember this, these days people put traffic cones in parking bays outside their houses. I’m not sure they’re allowed to do this either.

Being a Sandfields boy i remember it well Dar, it was done by residents protecting the parking space outside their homes. Some used to use plastic beer crates instead of dustbins. It was quite entertaining at times when fans threw them onto the pavement and simply parked there anyway, as you have no legal right to a parking space outside your home. It went on until the late 80's at least until resident parking came in to play.

Class.

I remember a car having a note on the dashboard along the lines of ‘if you want to steal my car again knock on my door and I’ll give you the keys’. It was probably and Astra or an Escort, can’t remember now.
