There were a few in 2014. Bony (scored a couple I think), Ki, de Guzman and Vorm, and I think Montero and Fernandez both signed soon after the WC.

Thanks. I have no recollection of Bony playing in the World Cup whatsoever. I vaguely remember Vorm and de Guzman playing but thought Vorm had left for Spurs (and De Guzman wasn’t ours). I’d forgotten Ki as well as I think he’d been at Sunderland that season?

When Phil started working for Menzies he asked my mother do you want me to drop a paper off on my way up Crwys Terrace in the morning, she said yes, next morning there was at least 10 different newspapers outside the door plus every magazine that was in date! All bundled up too!
This went on every day for about a fortnight until my old girl pleaded for mercy!
That was fat Phil for you
