“Only 8 places above us” acting like that isn’t a significant gap😂
Jeez, sit_down_jack can't you take a compliment? 😁 They were impressed. Maybe you'll like this comment better: "I quite enjoyed watching Swansea play. In all honesty, I would love my side to play even a fraction of how they play instead of what we have had to endure this season".
If other supporters think that, then maybe our manager is doing well, and I'm confident that we'll continue to improve and finish 9th next season.

Today’s individual performances would have boiled some of our resident cretins bladders.
Idah scoring two. He's crap.
Fulton running the show. He’s crap.
Walta scoring a beauty. Matos doesn’t rate him.

I’ll miss those posters next season.

This thread probably has some life in it yet but seeing as it’s (as things currently stand anyway) the last ever JA.net/Planet Swans match thread, a huge shout out to Jackharris for his work on these over the years in making them by far the most popular and engaging match threads on the whole of Swans internet. That much is indisputable.

All hail Jackharris.

100% agree.

Im sure the other Swan forums are preparing lucrative contract offers him to bring his tekkers to their site for next season. Hope you have a good agent JH.

I thought it was telling about the level of football they've been watching all season that they celebrated like mad every time they won a corner.

I do not think we lose much if anything if we sell Vipotnik and Idah plays the whole season. Much better player, I just worry about him staying fit whereas Vipotnik barely sprints and is still effective so could probably manage a 60 game season, being reliably available.

Fantastic way to end the last match day thread, chuffed for Idah he’s come back strong and looks a tidy player, Walta is getting better game by game, fingers crossed for a special 26/27 season.

Thanks again @jackharris for all the brilliant threads you’ve provided.

Back home and I wondered whether I should have stayed at home at half time. Three outstanding second half bonuses, Idah, Walta and Woodward.
We would have snapped anyone’s arm off for a top half finish the day Sheehan was sacked so I’ll take that.
The only real downside is that this is the final match thread on here. 😢

I thoroughly enjoyed the game today. So many good performances and a lot to be optimistic about for next season. Walta was a revelation; what a gem we've unearthed there. Idah was super clinical, Woodward had bags of confidence and didn't look out of place, Key was very positive driving forward, Franco worked his socks off and harried them constantly, the two centre backs were for the most part very sound, Fulton has metamorphed into a different player under Matos, cool, calm, assured and always finding the right pass out from the back.

With Galbraith (hopefully) and Eom to come back, and youngsters Parker and Lissah to step up, I think we could be contenders next season.

100% agree with all this

Lovely way to end the season.
As usual, we played some lovely football in our own half. Thankfully we moved up field and went for it in the second half.
Well done lads. Enjoy your break.
