It’s okay to be disappointed but what did people really expect from this World Cup? It’s an ageing team of cripples playing football in a desert, enjoy the ride.

Page said he takes responsibility. How does he intend to do that exactly?

Picking a squad based on loyalty and not form ws always going to have this result

As much as I don’t think we have much of a sniff at any points against England, I do feel it’s a slightly different game for us than it is for Iran and the USA. We’ll be desperate to put one over our biggest rivals and not leave with 1 point. Plus the climate will be tough for both teams familiar with UK weather.

It’s not over yet, but the rotund female is clearing her pharynx.

I agree with all of that, the only saving grace could be if England stuff USA later today, they will have won the group more or less so there would be absolute no point in risking their most important players. Yes, we'll still lose even if they play a complete 2nd string but it might not be the battering we're expecting. Straws well and truly clutched.

I know this man!! Haha.

This tournament is 4 years too late for this squad of players, in concern of being competitive.

Ramsey and Joey (as much as it pains me) should be nowhere near the first 11. They are in the squad because of the service they've given in years gone by and Page couldn't handle that tough decision

It's such a waste, you could have achieved the same result with the likes of Cooper plating, but at least with the intention of him playing for the next 10+ years

Such a missed opportunity to blood the next generation and get them used to the atmosphere and pressures that come with playing in a world cup.

Some people love Page for getting us here in what was a group that we should have quite comfortably qualified from anyway. In my eyes he has done immeasurable damage to the future growth of the Wales squad.

Got to disagree with the idea we shouldn't have taken the likes of Joe and Ramsey. Same people saying that would have been up in arms on the day the squad was announced without them in it. Plus they deserve to play at a World Cup after what they've done for us down the years. Wasn't like we were going to win the tournament no matter who we picked.

The time to drop the older players and start playing the kids is after the tournament. We need a manager to be brave like Toshack and Speed were and for the FAW to understand we'll probably lose a lot of games initially.

Still, we were at our peak in 2016 and England were at a low point, yet they managed to spawn a win over us. Roles are reversed this time, so maybe we do have a chance...

Some players have been indispensible over the years and yes they deserve a place in the squad. But ithers who have been carriwd for years and never really contributed ike mepham and gunter do not deserve that lofty status.

The squad should always be picked on form and merit, not "they might not get another world cup"

Why would you drop players after the tournament and not before? That makes no sense once the tournament has come and gone.

Ramsey has been below par for years. How could he be picked considering his spells at Rangers and Nice?

Joe is injured, it was sad to see him wheeled out there today.

Nobody should deserve anything, that's the problem.

Gazza didn't deserve to be called up for England in 1998, as an example.

Neville Southall played how many games for Wales , he's not in the squad.

Tactically Iran were streets ahead, Wales tactics was (I think mind) lump the ball to Kieffer and hope Bale does something, bye bye Pagey and the old dinosaur mob of Symons and Roberts.. literally couldn't be happier, fluked a qualification on outdated tactical set ups, the fact he shoved Ampadu in midfield when he hasn't played midfield in years just sums us up, it was all about hope and a lack of coaching, we couldn't do the basics of football well

I don’t rate Page by any means but there’s no way in hell that Bale or Ramsey would be dropped from these first two games.
