I guess we want England to win by a few

I don’t. We have to beat them now anyway, so let’s take them down with us if we do and the other result goes against us (which it could whether Engo win or lose tonight). I don’t want them resting players and being able to relax. I want the pressure and expectation on them to be off the dial.

Come on USA, bury them.

I don’t rate Page by any means but there’s no way in hell that Bale or Ramsey would be dropped from these first two games.

As huge as their contributions have been over the past decade to Welsh football at the same time you must look at their efforts over the past two years for both club and country.

Bale's lack of competitive game time for the past four years is very well known, Ramsey's stats for the same period are also very poor reading:

99 club games since the start of the 2019/2020 season to now with a total of 9 goals and 5 assists.

I thought that Ramsey was fantastic at Euro 2016 but he has definitely fallen from the height of his powers. To say that he and Bale have been underwhelming in the tournament so far is an understatement, to call Bale a liability with his constant annoying flicks giving away possession wouldn't be unjustified either.

A draw would be curtains for us tonight wouldn't it. Same points is decided on goal difference. We’d have to beat England by 7, or 5 to finish ahead of Iran if they draw with USA. Edit my mistake, any win for us would do then. I forgot they’d lost 6-2.

I’m overthinking this aren’t I? We’re gone anyway. Someone said earlier that “Pagey” was given a new 4 year contract after qualifying. Is that right? If so, we’re going to go backwards. What is it with Welsh teams, football and rugby, international and club, insisting on overrating shit coaches?

In this tournament there has been so many overhit corners, so many long range shots not just over the bar but miles over the bar.

Strange…

Surprised by the US mind, I expected them to sit in and hold out for a result tonight but fair play, they’re going for it. Perhaps RP could learn a thing or 2 from watching this game.

USA playing well.
IF, and it’s a big IF, England lose to USA and then USA beat Iran, all we have to do is beat England and we’re through.
Simple. 😜

It’s basically a free shot for them after we lost earlier. Lose or draw and they have to beat Iran anyway, but a win tonight means they go through with a win or a draw next week.

USA win tonight and beat Iran and we only have to beat England to qualify and send them home. It is written.

For those saying we shouldn't have taken the likes of Joe and Ramsey, I'd be interested to hear who we should have picked instead. Outside of Cooper (who doesn't even have half a season of Championship experience), who else did we leave at home who is any good?

I say now is the time to drop them because they earned the right to be at this tournament, now move on without them for the Nations League and Euro qualifiers.

If only someone else had posted that. 😉

I don’t doubt it but I don’t have the will to read dozens of pages of Welsh people moaning about Wales.

Swansea City 🦢 v Norwich 🐥
