• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Have we underperformed though? Or is this the new level? Are Wales a busted flush now that our only 2 players of genuine quality are completely spent forces? It's quite possible that Wales will never have a player as good as Bale at his best again and may only occasionally have one as good as Ramsey at his best and there's certainly no sign of anyone on the horizon atm who is likely to become the heartbeat of the team during the qualification for the '24 Euros and the' 26 WC. Oli may become a regular soon and may become a very good player but it's an enormous ask to fill Bale's boots as a talisman let alone as a player.

This team needs to be ripped apart after the World Cup, manager included. Plenty of fresh talent coming through.

I do think we’ve underperformed though, we haven’t been able to do the simple things, we’ve barely strung 3 or 4 passes together. Literally. We’ve probably spent a combined 10 mins in the opposition third over three games…I say that slightly tongue in cheek but it’s probably true.

If Page is the answer, what the fckn hell is the question?

If Ramsey, Bale, Mepham, Allen, James, Ward, Morrell is the answer what is the question? Name 2 has beens and 5 never have beens? And the replacements are…?

The answer to the Page one is name probably the worst current international manager.

But he’s not solely to blame. These players need a good look at themselves too. No one has tried to take any responsibility and not hidden away taking easy options other than Moore and Johnson, both of whom have tried their hardest to be brave with the ball within their limitations and put in the effort. Maybe Roberts in that category too. Other than a few they’ve not even brought effort and guts to the party. It’s all pretty pathetic.

Ofc we've underperformed, in so many ways.

Insufficient intensity, hunger, drive, belief - in stark contrast to the Irans, Moroccans etc etc.

I see far more hunger, pace and will to do well watching the U18s at Landore.

It's down to the manager and our pampered 'superstars' to show up.

I'd give the gig to Coops - he knows how to get the very best out of young talent.

We may even win a World Cup ;-)

If he leaves Forest it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s number 1 on the FAW’s list.

I’m actually embarrassed. That’s me off social media for a couple days anyway.

Under no circumstances can Page be allowed to continue. Bringing the kids forward mustn't be left to him.
The guy has basically no excuse to fall back on.
