• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I'd give the gig to Coops - he knows how to get the very best out of young talent.

We may even win a World Cup ;-)

Absolutely I would. He is just what we needed with this bunch. He won’t flush his career down the pan with this poison chalice though.

Judging by what he achieved with England, his ability to work with youngsters…he’d be perfect.

Get real boys and girls. There's absolutely no chance that Page will be sacked. They've just given him a 4 year contract and he'll only be sacked if we finish way out of the running in qualifying for the next two tournaments. Which we probably will.

If England get past Senegal, they are likely to be facing France in the quarters. That thought will sustain me in the dark days ahead as I have to face my (majority) English walking football team members.

The chances of qualifying again for the next next major comps is slim judging by this WC performance. We looked like an old donkey begging to be put down

Shearer et al, you'd swear they'd beaten Brazil in the Final. FFS.

I'd sooner lance my haemorrhoids with a scalpel.

You’d be slicing them with a scalpel mun, you’d need a knitting needle to lance em.

Is that a window into your world then ? :D

Rob Page just said we were “outstanding” in the first half…that comment alone tells me he shouldn’t be anywhere near the National team manager job. Blokes fucking deluded.

He couldn’t have been more positive about the performance, how it was disappointing to go out but that's the way to go out. Can't fault any of the players, praised the effort.
Now he’s going to build for the future.
