I strongly disagree.

Both teams would leave a couple of goal hangers in the opposition box which would mean 3/4 defenders staying back to mark them. Midfield craft would become irrelevant as the game becomes a series of punts forward.

If they are going to use the lines and then the ruling that the upper arm can be used (as in the Bamford one) then there has to be an allowance built into the lines for "human error" at the same time.

The problem VAR has caused is it was supposed to take away the issues but if anything it has succeeded to intensify some of the decisions
