• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I certainly don’t listen most mornings because it’s f*cking crap.
This morning one caller reckoned that the people in Wales that are against taking refugees will be the same people complaining next year that tourism in Wales is down and another caller asked why they were having a go at people going up Snowdon in flip-flops when those people don’t know what the rules are about going up Snowdon in flip-flops,the same guy then went on to ask why they were having a go at people for leaving rubbish at the top of Snowdon when the rules don’t state what you can and cannot leave at the top of Snowdon.

Like I said thick as f*ck.

    Yes I heard that lot, may be crap, but makes you feel sane, even more so when Jason Motorhead is on bulling himself up I love the ones where some have views that dont go along with BBCs , boom soon cut off.

On a side note, walked alongside Ellis James going to the Brizzle game Friday. Had a good chat, what a thoroughly lovely fella. Think I may have alarmed him by saying "Ellis, top man, hows it going ".
And by Jesus, he loves our club.

I've only spoken to him once, but have a friend in the comedy scene who knows him well and he would agree with you on both points. A lovely guy and Swans-mad. The mutual friend is a Plymouth fan, so imagine they'll be winding each other up about tomorrow!

And then he grew up.

I couldn’t listen again today I still haven’t recovered from yesterday.

Go on the sounds thing and listen to wynne Evans taking to the old cinema projectionist, hilarious, Go Compare totally lost it.

Avoid the phone ins during week as working although enjoy Owen Money on Saturdays (who does terrific work when he phones the Care Homes on live air), plus listen to Eleri Sion on the late night slot when I’m travelling in car. Eleri is an inspired follow on from the much loved Chris Needs.

I get your point Darren about cringeworthy phone ins. I switch over whenever national news channels do a “man /woman in the street interview in Wales”. No wonder Wales is underfunded because we come across as oafs.
