Surely they won’t be stupid enough to give Trump the reigns for a second time? Will they? He’s bound to lose the popular vote but the US system of electing someone is so demonstrably stupid it makes our own seem vaguely sensible.

Discuss. If you want.

They aren't the brightest nation on the plant. I wouldn't put it past them to give him the keys to the White House for a second time.

It just beggars belief that so many people appear willing to vote for Trump, a man who can barely form an intelligible sentence.

Just been talking to some colleagues across the pond and they all have the day off tomorrow. "What for?" I exclaimed, and then they proceeded to link chat to the election. And they wonder why parts of their automobile industry is on its arse.

It’s also mental that they insist on having elections on a Tuesday. Almost as dumb as our obsession with still doing therm on Thursdays.

Doesn't the Thursday stem from a link to market day and the theory that more folk would be out and about? I see the logic forty years back, less so today.

Rumour has it the full results may not not be known for days. So wether it's a Tuesday...has no bearing would have thought.

I think last time the election wasn’t called tor Biden until the Saturday. But my point was that surely polling day should be on a weekend when more people don’t have work, school etc to plan when they’ll vote around. Most of Europe votes on a Saturday or Sunday.
