The US elections

He could stop arms to Ukraine he wants to end the US's allegiance to Nato or so it seems, the World could become a much more dangerous place with him as President.
He said he'd advocate for peace in the middle east just now on Twitter, whether he'll stick by it, I don't know

It's like the whole country is waiting for the results of an STD test; that's the vibe in the US right now.

Whatever happens it's going to be insufferable. You can take it to the bank that Trump and/or his operatives will be re-running their 'stop the count' nonsense late on Tuesday after the small rural states/counties have finished their counts and he's in the lead and before the larger densely populated urban districts have finished counting. And then, as those votes come in, they will be treated as 'cheating' and 'the dems are manufacturing votes because I was in the lead' 'stop the steal' etc. Urgh. Even if he wins we've still got to get through that immeasurably dumb charade.

Sums up my thoughts

If he loses this one as well, the popcorn be out cos who knows what he'll fckn do.
Trump wants to destroy everything and fellow travellers have begun dismantling every building and structure especially the concept of Truth itself.

The queue thing is interesting because queues are very much a thing in the poorer black areas. This is by design.

They don’t have the same level of counting stations (deliberate) to population which makes voting much harder and they’re not allowed to be offered water as this can constitute trying to influence votes.

That’s a small micro example of voter suppression in traditionally left leaning voter groups.

He will and has said anything to further himself, the guy is a clown and shouldn't be anywhere near the Whitehouse.

What makes me laugh (in a morbid way) is that Trump and his Republican cronies have worked very hard already to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the election if he loses, yet they'll quietly drop all that if he wins.

Yet question how it can only be elections that he loses that are corrupt and his supporters don't have an answer other than throwing insults.

Whoever wins, it seems like the split in that country is only going to get worse in the future.

His favourite film is Citizen Kane. The same thing happens in that. In 2016 he openly stated when asked if he was going to question the integrity of the election. "Only if I lose" ( I have paraphrased) At least he's consistent.

Twitter is a thing of beauty at the moment. One post “early voting data is DISASTROUS for the Dems. Harris campaign in meltdown” amd literally the next tweet “early returns show Harris is winning big. Trump staffers know the game is up”.

Also, not sure how the Musk atrocity will cope if his boy Trump loses. He’s put a lot of actual cash into this election.

I think last time the election wasn’t called tor Biden until the Saturday. But my point was that surely polling day should be on a weekend when more people don’t have work, school etc to plan when they’ll vote around. Most of Europe votes on a Saturday or Sunday.
Just like Rockins post, it's a feature not a bug. Your poor black voters struggle to get from their day job to the only ballot point for them across the other side of their city.

Also like the mail ballot drop-off point in rural areas being one point for 500 people and in the cities one drop off for a million people. Disenfranchisement.

If that is the case (I’ve seen plenty suggest it is the case), with the black population more likely to vote for KH, doesn’t she have the power to make polling day on the weekend?
