• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Time for the players to step up..

It’s as if they’re still in mourning over RMs departure. They need to forget about him now. Michael Duff is the manger now and he has my 100% backing. If the players are not following his directive, Duff needs to be brave and drop them, no matter how much their experience or seniority. Heard murmurings that these pampered prima donnas are reluctant to take on board MDs methods and ideas and still want to play the RM way. So who’s to blame?

How do you "drop" a 25-man squad?

What a load of emotive rubbish.

100%. Any players who are deliberately disobeying the manager's instructions and (say) slowing play down rather than moving the ball forward at pace need to be dropped from the team and sold at the first opportunity - if anyone will have them.

But Duff needs to own this - he selects the team. No point him whining to the press about players not following his orders or whispering in corridors, he needs get a grip. Apparently he was complaining that the subs on Tuesday were more use to QPR than they were to us. It wasn't the subs that cost us the game IMO, it was the midfield and that was the only part of the team he didn't change all match.

This.
Time for all of em to grow a pair, get a fckn grip and turn up...not for first 15 mins, but try 90 for a change.
Last thing we wanna read later is Duff talking bout what he's done at previous clubs, and players posting apologies.
Wise up gents FFS.

Oh, that's really interesting.

Last season you were telling everyone that the reason for the good run at the end of the season was because the players were ignoring Martin and doing their own thing.

But it's not acceptable now, is it?

Not really. All too much we see managers getting the bullet if things aren’t going well. We sack Duff, the cycle starts again. These players now need to f@ck Russ off and get behind Duff and his ideas. I’ve no doubt in my mind that given time, he’ll be better than RM
