Tinnitus

You have answered the question I was going to ask. Boots it is then.

I fish what I consider to be a fair bit of wax out of my ears, but using cotton buds cannot be doing me any good. Will I get to see what comes out of if I go with this Boots procedure?
When I went the audiologist shows you what he will do and what equipment he will use. He then takes a photo of inside your lughole before using the micro suction tool. It's not in the slightest bit uncomfortable and, in my case, my right ear was blocked up following my holiday when I got water in it. The satisfaction when you hear the gurgling of the thing doing it's job then all of a sudden you hear clearly again is amazing.

It's important to put in olive oil a couple times a day for a week before you go. In my case I didn't do that for my left ear but fortunately the audiologist was able to clear the wax blockage even though it was a bit dry.

Although it's a bit gross, yes I was shown what was fished out and it's weirdly satisfying!

You know this Coops but seriously enough with the cotton buds. All they will do is push more wax into your ear plus the act of stimulating the ear canal causes more wax to be produced.

Whilst we are on the subject of ailments, does anyone have any information on erectile dysfunction? A friend of mine has suffered from this condition for a good few years and is finding information on this hard to get.
Don't you want it hard?

Just out of curiosity, did they show you the wax without asking? Because I’ve had micro suction done say about 8 or 9 times now, and they’ve only shown me when I have said ‘give us a look’ bit gutted now thinking of it, when I had my ears done the other day, I was 100% going to say give me a look at the wax, but for some reason we started chatting about other stuff. 🤣

They also dry the ear, whereas the ear should always be slightly greasy, I've got ear moulds on my hearing aids now, but I used to use the small black inserts, but they used irritate me no end and the only relief I could get was by using a cotton bud to have a scratch, Audiologist told me that's worst thing I should do so I use the moulds now and I get no irritation.

This is bang on NJ. My audiologist told me to use an olive oil spray twice a week to prevent the canal drying out. About £6 for a bottle in Boots

I got my operation cancelled 3 times Max, by the time I had my operation (about 18 months later) my nut sack resembled a space hopper, the operation is pretty straight forward, overnight stay and your ball bag will resemble a walnut bag for a week 👍😂

I just now looked this up, I honestly thought you were on a wind up mate, honestly I have never heard of that condition before. Glad it all worked out in the end for you though.
