Tonight's Trust Meeting

One question asked by someone out loud and by many in the chat box was
"Is there a cooling off period" like any normal contract?
If there is, how does one call an EGM and/ or a vote of no confidence within that period. to get this atrocity of a deal stopped?

It was yet another ( I know, there was loads!!!!) question not answered
If they do answer anyone by email, I'll be surprised

I think there's quite a few people turning in their graves on this one.
Plus, what could be a huge walk away of Trust members.
I've only kept mine just in case there's a way back for the Trust from this deal.

Deal goes through, I'll not renew.
That's if I haven't resigned my membership prior to the end of the season

Obvs I don't know the details of this deal, its level of completion etc. However in the context of putting aside the deal, it will now most likely have to be in the context of whether the legal case could be revived.

There was an interesting comment from Jonny Cole that the 6 year time limit is not a hard and fast rule, so the potential may be there but a) it sounds like further QC guidance would be required on that point and the impact on the chances of success and b) I assume the funding agreements in place are now deader than disco.

As such, I don't think it would be an easy thing to do, even if the potential was there ... which I'm not convinced it is.

It’s gone through.

Sorry for being a bit twp here Dar.
Does that mean it was signed and agreed, but only announced when the cooling off period (if there was one) had ended.
I missed some of the bollox being sprouted because as I was laughing at comments like "it's not a good deal. yes it's quite bad", my pups were licking me!

I emailed the Trust yesterday morning to request a link to join the Forum but never got a reply so only have what I've picked up here and on Twitter to go by.

In summary - they know it's a crap deal, they knew the members had voted for legal action, yet they still went ahead and signed it and then tried to blame the previous Board(s) for leaving them in that position - is that about right?

Dave Dalton joined the Trust Board during the short time that I was on it - 2017 that was so he's been around for almost 5 years. To try and pin the blame on others, some of which were seemingly deliberately excluded from discussions and decisions, is cowardly in the extreme.

I'd love to have heard the questions that Lisa, Uxy and others put to them and to have seen their reactions.

Well from the way I understood it is signed, sealed and no cooling off period.

Assuming that they have signed some legally binding deal whereby the Trust drops the legal action in return for *checks notes* f*ck all, then there won't usually be a cooling off period.

As soon as Mr Dalton's signature went on that page (assuming he can write his own name which seems to be a bit of a leap), it was as binding as it can get.

This in buckets and any who thinks the trust never knew about the Yanks coming in are living cuckoo land I truly believe some trust members were bought off to keep shtum. I will also have a wager that Mr Morgan will own SCFC very soon

I have two daughters one is 16 and one is 18

I will swear on both of their lives that until we were told by Jenkins and Dineen in March 2016 that there was no knowledge in my head

Individuals within the Trust may have known but that is different to the Trust knowing

Off subject

You posted something the other week which made me feel old

Today the article about Robbie James

And now I read that your daughters are 16 and 18

Are you on some sort of crusade?

Please please no more 😀

I’m torn between resigning my membership and hanging around in case there’s a chance of voting this lot off at some point in the future.

I didn't renew my membership - wish I had now - so that I could have resigned it in protest.
Will definitely rejoin before the next elections to vote off the incompetent, undemocratic shower of shyte though. Until then they can stick their tenner where the sun doesn't shine.

Apparently he wasn’t available so they went with his brother, known as the family idiot.
