Transfer window

The thing that stands out for me is, even after we went close last season, our investors seem unwilling to put up any sort of decent funds to give Cooper a fighting chance...

Couple of weeks left in the transfer window - what positions and any suggestions for what we need to find?

Bit more than that only close for Prem clubs on October 5th - we have almost a month to the 16th.

Are Prem clubs able to sell/loan players after 5th October?

We started with an excellent squad.
We were, somehow, in the play off positions for the early part of the transfer window when we brought in
Guehi - England international at all age levels
Gallagher - England intentional at all levels above 17s and a 'sensation' at Brentford.
Brewster = England International at all age levels from 16s up.
According to many Gallagher was outstanding, Brewster got a load of goals and tool pressure off Ayew and Guehi came good at the end.
Buying those three would have set us back somewhere in the region of £15 - 20 million.

But, more importantly all three were known to Cooper who seems unable to motivate (or even deal with) older / experienced players.
We are still trying to get ourselves on a sustainable level - how many times have we seen clubs speculate, fail and fall?

The loss of income from CV is going to be astronomical.
We have a good squad bar striker but we don't have the man in charge to get the best from them.

Yup but only outside the Prem & they cannot bring in any replacements, so you may see them buy first, sort their 25 player squads & then exit fringe/youngsters but suspect noting lack of £££s in the EPL it will mainly be loans.

From the 72.co.uk. Sheffield United’s Max Lowe could join Swansea City on loan this month, potentially freeing up Swans full-back Jake Bidwell to join Middlesbrough.
Alan Nixon writes in The Sun on Sunday (15.08.21, pg. 63) that Lowe, 24, is not currently in Slavisa Jokanovic’s Sheffield United plans and that he could join up with Swansea City on loan for the 2021/22 season.

He only joined from Derby County this time last summer but struggled to break into the Blades first-team last time round, managing just eight Premier League appearances.

Nixon writes how a potential move is being delayed because Lowe is currently expecting a child.

Should Lowe make the temporary switch to South Wales though, it could see Bidwell join Middlesbrough – the 28-year-old is wanted by Neil Warnock’s side according to Nixon, but Boro will have to cough up around £2.5million to make the move happen.
