• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

We went to Menorca a few years ago. Rained a lot and was windy and cold. Enjoy.

Fancied Portugal, but not a lot of options for Adult only Hotels, did start filling out a booking form for one that was near Lagos Harbour, but thought better of it at a cost close to 3grand, there were a couple of other's but they were a fair hike to bars/restaurant's etc

Hilly as fuk in it, Cala Bona as been ours, went to Alcudia once, won't be going back, unless we book at the hotel right on the end of harbour, stunning location beautiful hotel and a cracking pool.

Bad memories of Cala D’or, terrible food poisoning. Still ill when I got home. No fun on the flight home. 🥴

No, this was before all inclusive was even thought of. I’m pretty sure it was barbecued sardines at a restaurant in Alcudia when visiting one day.
I know, 🙄

Never bother with hotels. We‘ve booked a large apartment in the north of Portugal on the coast. € 630 for 8 days.

Our lives are different to most, Mrs just likes to go away and have everything done for us.

Understand the reasoning. We like to try and find little restaurant gems in the evening. Looking forward to trying a new one that has opened up when we go again. Cala d'or is prefect for the holiday as we love the picturesque coves and the stunning marina. We get an apartment for the flexibility but we have Spanish friends who own them so that certainly helps.
