Still have a sneaky feeling Brewster deal isn’t completely dead in the water.

It seems to me that we are still waiting for a definite answer on Brewsters future, I think Liverpool if they can't shift him on before October 5th for 25M then they'd be willing to loan him here for the season.

Brewster would have got a hat trick today... Glaringly obvious we need an up top striker

Swansea transfer update: Deal for Man City defender Joel Latibeaudiere looking unlikely.

Viktor Gyokeres is expected to be involved for Brighton against Manchester United tonight which will give Graham Potter once last chance to see him in the cup before deadline day. #Swans

Viktor Gyökeres is on loan from Brighton to Swansea in The Championship.

According to SportExpressen's information, he is at the club during the day to undergo the medical examination. The loan extends the season.

It was in 2018 that Viktor Gyökeres left Brommapojkarna for Brighton in the English Premier League. But he has since failed to take a place in the Premier League team. Last season he was loaned out to st. Pauli in the Zweite Bundesliga, where he scored seven goals and four assists in 26 games. At the start of this season Gyökeres was back at Brighton and has been allowed to play in three league cup matches where he has been noted for one goal and one performance, but in the Premier League the Swede has not been given any playing time by former Östersund manager Graham Potter.

Borrowing the Swede

And yesterday BBC Sport reported that Swansea wanted to borrow the 22-year-old Swede in The Championship. Coach Steve Cooper paid tribute to the Swede, saying Swansea hoped to loan the Swede for the rest of the season, but said he did not know if it could be possible or not.

- It's a player I like. "He has been used a lot in the cup game and if there comes a time when Swansea want to loan him out it would be a good option and something that we would like," he told the broadcaster.

Medical examination on Friday

According to SportExpressen, it is now clear that Gyökeres is on loan to Swansea. He is due to join the Wales club on Friday to do the medical and the season-long loan is expected to become official shortly.

Swansea qualified for the Premier League last year and have taken seven points in the opening three games of the league. A whopping 43 rounds remain in the league.

I can't see this kid replacing Brewster's goals directly, but if he's able to link up and bring the other attacking players into the game in and around the box then he could end up being a better fit than Rhian was

Certainly needed something to happen sooner rather than later.
