• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

If this isn't just media flanel, this could be a serious danger for us. I think pound signs in the eyes of the owners will blind them to the fact that he is an essential element in avoiding relegation. Relying on getting someone else in in January to replace him, or putting our faith in Idah, is a recipe for disaster.

It won't be serious danger if those claiming he's worth £10m are correct. If we can get that kind of money for him we'd quite frankly be insane not to take it

He was free, his contract with Bordeaux was terminated

Which is the point I was making.

Every time we sell a player we get people theorising that it would cost just as much to replace them and it never does.

Personally wouldn’t be letting Vipotnik go if we can help it, unless it was for a an amount we couldn’t refuse. He’s the only consistent source of goals in the squad and I’m not sure I’d want to gamble on finding a goalscorer in the January window.

Surprised so many are open to selling him (which is different to understanding that of course he'd leave if someone offered good money for him). Replacing Vipotnik with Idah would presumably make replacing Bony with Gomis look like a genius move.

Can’t take less than 10m for him. 15 would be amazing. But is Adam Idah going to step up if he goes? He really needs to put some work on in on the training ground, he is still well off the pace.
Whoever did the scouting on Adam Idah certainly didn’t use Ai

How time changes things. There were many times during the course of last season when the idea that any club would pay money for Vipotnik was fantasy island stuff.

Yep, last seasons VP I would have not been bothered if he went on a free

I don't rate Idah very highly, but he does seem capable enough to get us through the second half of the season. Would expect him to get 6 or 7, and, perhaps more importantly, he's much better at leading the press than Vip. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to benefit Matos if he was forced into using him

I always get the impression that Idah doesn’t press as much and looks quite lazy.
Think he could come good though.
