You'd think an up and coming youngster would be worth a place on the bench at least?
What's the point of an academy otherwise...
I know, it also puts upcoming talent off signing for the club if they can't see a way in to the first team.

Fed up of us taking loans from other clubs and aiding in their development over our own.

You'd be suprised how many postmen have been "fast tracked" through the Swans Academy backroom staff mind.
Ryan Harley has also spent the majority of his career in league two.. if you think the championship is shocking, they can't kick a ball in that division.. I'd rather give the job to Joe Allen, someone who has actually played at the pinnacle.. what do the owners expect.. you're giving multi millions to a coaching staff who haven't even played or managed at a decent standard..

All this talk of Joe Low. I've got to say he'd be mental to come to us. Not gonna be first choice until one goes or injury. His team flying high in League One and looking at promotion. I bet the wages wouldn't differ much. We might have a much bigger history and pedigree but we're not much bigger than Wycombe on our current operating standards.

Why does he have to be mental and how do you know he won't be first choice?

Chances are Wycombe will still be in League One next season whilst we will be in the Championship, the lad will speak to Welsh squad and have an understanding what life is like in Swansea, that's if we are really interested in him.

I stated in the post why i think he'd be mental. If Wycombe didn't go up then it would be a whole different scenario at the end of the season. He won't be in before Cabango and Darling *if he stays, it isn't definite he'll go January *. And the Welsh boys might advise him to wait until Summer as Luke may be gone too. I'm sorry but there's gotta be discord in our squad at present with how things are being played out. Again, as every post on here is, it's an opinion.

Do you honestly believe our players would tell a potential signing to wait until the summer because our manager is likely to get sacked?

Any player that signs for a new side will have the intention of getting in to the first team and based on our current players in his position there is a good chance that could/would happen, especially when you consider one of them won't be there next season.

In terms of Wycombe their promotion from the league they are in is going to be very challenging with the other in teams fighting for promotion.

Even if they were to come up the chances of them staying up are going to be very unlikely at the best.

Again, at the end of the season he may well come. I don't understand professional footballers. I'd want to stay with Wycombe and try and get up then make a decision but they are on another wavelength to me. Oh, yes, they will do well to go up and will more than likely come back down. I'm sort of more hoping we stick with what we've got, as mediocre as they are, give the youngsters a go, and see what happens close season. I don't want Luke here next year. Yes, he's got a bang average squad but I believe his tactics etc are off the radar.

What kind of mindset is sticking with that we have?

If there is a sniff of us signing a better player, I'm all over it.

The mindset of someone who doesn't believe that our current regime bringing in new players is a good thing.

So you'd rather we didn't sign any players?

New ownership are damned if they do, damned if they don't with some people. At least give them a couple of windows before you sign them off.

If a player is available to make our team, squad better then we need to sign them.

I would just add 'at the right transfer fee and wages' to that last sentence.

I feel like Darling was bought to be another Flynn Downes. Big transfer fee and wages, but he'll be great and a just relegated from the PL or PL lower half team will buy him for a big profit after one season.

Great when those purchases work out, but crippling to us when they don't.

Not talking about the ownership. I'm talking about our manager and his tactical squad.

That comment is inherently wrong
Managers at Swansea City haven't been responsible for signing the majority of players for years.

I hardly think Luke Williams knew who Ronald was until he rocked up for training.
