That would have been a real bargain now with hindsight eh?As it happens his expected goal tally this season was 6. Shows he's at least getting the opportunities. Now he's got 3 (all excellent in different ways) he will hopefully be more composed in front of goal.
I'd be happy for Vipotnik to stay, but equally I would be happy for him to leave for £4 million. I'd consider letting him go for less if there are good alternatives available for a cut price, which is unlikely.
Double jeopardy rule means it would never be a red card except for the likes of intentional handball on the goal lineI was another game and saw the tug on his shirt real time and it looked a penalty. Having watched it back on the highlights it was a nailed on penalty and a red card for the Millwall centre back.
On the flip side, thank heavens we didn't sign Langstaff in Fluke's time because he was dreadful again and missed an open goal.
Haven't seen a replay yet but it's only not a red card if there's an attempt to play the ball. Pulling someone back definitely isn't an attempt to play the ball so still a red card for this one.Double jeopardy rule means it would never be a red card except for the likes of intentional handball on the goal line
But yeah every time I watch it I can only think that I would have had no complaints if a penalty was given against us for that, which is usually the safest measure of if a penalty should have been given
That’s not the double jeopardy rule at all. If the foul is a genuine attempt to play the ball it’s a penalty and a yellow. If there’s no attempt to play the ball it’s a penalty and a red.Double jeopardy rule means it would never be a red card except for the likes of intentional handball on the goal line

Yeah, same situation happened in the AC Milan vs Napoli game earlier, he gave the pen and a yellow, VAR intervened and told him to go over to the monitor and then sent Estupinan off.. it was identical to Vipotniks, clear pull back denying a goalscoring opportunityThat’s not the double jeopardy rule at all.
