They are very popular, Cooperman has made some good points and it all depends what you want from the van. VW’s are more expensive, but you will get more for it when you sell.
Neighbour of mine is on his second, he an exSky van which he then took to a guy up Foelgastell way, had it jazzed up, row of seats, TV fitted, panelled it out, alloys and maybe a remap. He sold it on after about a year and certainly got us cash back, maybe even made a profit. He bought a second one, this time it was one of the powerful models T150 (?) seats fitted and a window, but he says the 2 are completely different bass and he likens the new one to being more like a car to drive.
You can get a Transit Custom, Renault Master, Peugeot, Vauxhall kitted out, but it depends on what you want. You can have a van with seats or go the full hog and get it converted in to a camper.
