Is that a joke and you've just forgotten to add a smilie? Genuine question.

It is a genuine question, and may I ask you a genuine question are you an expert on the way pigs wombs should look like when cooked? IMO the picture in question, they looked undercooked.

I await your culinary knowledge.

I'm not an expert on pig wombs, but I do understand that food boiled is going to look very different to food that's been fried.

Only on Planet Swans can you read a thread where two posters can argue about the correct way to cook boiled pigs womb.

Dontcha just love it!

Surely when you boil any food it detracts from the flavour, that's why frying food usually adds flavour, take potatoes for instance, boiled spuds taste bland until you add butter but nobody adds butter to chips do they? Well perhaps for Jack 123

I only stated it looked undercooked, same as if presented with a picture of a boiled sausage.

A quick google this morning, tells me these would look a lot better if deep fried or bbq'ed.

I wasn't offered the question of "how would you like your pigs womb, Sir?"

I've had another look and clearly I was tired when replying to your post last night, apologies.

I think I thought you were suggesting that it should have been browned, which of course it wouldn't be if it was boiled. I realise now you were saying it would probably look better fried and you're almost certainly right.

As apology, I will order pigs womb the very next time I see it on a menu. Which hopefully will be never...

In that case can you be tempted by the chicken sashimi (torisashi as the Japense refer to it)? I've had it a few times but always stay well away from it if I'm flying home any time soon. The locals seem to appreciate it, me less so.

As this is (genuinely) my area of expertise, I would suggest eating raw chicken is microbiological Russian roulette. ~Don't do it kids

And definitely not with your standard Asda chicken fillet.

You kids out there, listen to the professor, I did it once and was pissing through my chocolate starfish for a week.

Some kind of Filipino tripe curry, it was buzzing.

Totally agree with the professor about eating raw chicken and I’d also go as far as to say only eat quality stuff and make sure it’s well cooked.
One of my kids got taken ill while we were abroad a few years ago and nearly died. It transpires he’d caught ecoli157 from food which then developed into Shiga, he spent 12 days in hospital, had 3 plasma transfusions and numerous other treatments. We were lucky to have a great doctor and medical team looking after him.

When a child I loved banana sandwiches. That’s fairly standard I believe. However I recall a time, when at home from school due to illness, that my mother had no bananas, and instead, presented me with an orange sandwich. Tried it, grim to say the least!
