Unless those result in an actual victim being injured or harmed , and can we identify or name a victim that has been directly harmed, is it really a crime?

It's a basic question asked of 16 year olds in any A level Sociology class in the UK. If you don't have the same maturity as those 16 year olds then so be it.

The real criminal is the asshole that makes the movie or takes the image and then posts his or her sickening content on the web. Downloaders are still however deeply complicit as the consumers of the crime and encourage it's creation.

A substantial custodial sentence for this rimjob, in my estimation, is the minimum he should expect.
