• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

What are you eating on Boxing Day?

Same here, because of family not being able to come to us ........ lots of food and no room in freezer.
Probably another one tomorrow 😳

Nowt wrong with that. Best meal of the year.

Surprised nobody mentioned piccalili. I mean it's a given on the ham baps, although if you want to be truly luxurious it has to be turkey, cranberry, stuffing, bread sauce, ham and piccalili between your baps. Now we're talking.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Join the club DJ, we had a turkey madras, bloody hot it was and I was farting like a trojan.

Well we had nibbles(left overs, cheeses etc) and chips on Saturday, very nice indeed, yesterday we had a beef roast, same again today, I do enjoy my roast dinners.

Toasted turkey sarnie for brekkie, with tomato sauce of course

The amount of people who have no knowledge of bread sauce it's a surprise to me.
I love it.

Saturday I had 2 toasted paninis, one with cheese and one with baked beans accompanied by the remainder of the Sauvignon Blanc I opened on the beach on Christmas Day. Then I watched the Swans beat QPR. Quite a nice day. 😁

My old girl made our bread sauce to go with the dinner like she always does, it’s lush.

A chicken / turkey dinner without bread sauce isn’t worth sitting down for. I introduced my future in-laws to it following my first appearance as a guest at their table; ā€œhave you got any bread sauceā€ was met with a cold silence.

Also goes well in a brown bread chicken sandwich (instead of the Lurpak).

Nah, you lost it when you pitched up in the Mini clubman. The final nail was the bread sauce line in your thickest west Walian. Such the losing combo.
