• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Adolescence was magnificent. The build up of tension between the psychiatrist and the boy was masterfully portrayed. If it doesn’t win countless awards it will be a travesty.

Imagine everyone’s surprise.
Eh? I doubt anyone is surprised.

I don't understand why you would make a snide comment like that, Smurph and Nj are not great fans of the series either, but I note you have said nothing to them!!

Why by me agreeing with Smurph, that it all went a bit downhill after the first episode, would warrant a reply like you have made, heaven knows. I don't exactly agree with your comments on the show, but I didn't try and trash them.

If Adolescence had a weaker episode, for me it would have been the second. Episodes one and three were outstanding and the fourth dealing with the aftermath on the family was heartbreaking. I don’t really do series generally and binge watching isn’t usually my thing either but this was genuinely one of the best pieces of TV made for decades in my opinion.

Couldn’t agree more, after the first episode, it declined rather quickly. Everyone in the family, I have spoken to, agreed. All rather disappointing.

It’s a 3/10 for me, and the 3 points are for the acting, which was rather good, otherwise it’s a big fat zero.
The acting was the only thing which kept me watching.

Ignore them, pal.

Talking of the acting in Adolescence, we all know about Stephen Graham, but I tell you what I like that Ashley Walters, first came across him on Top Boy, which I enjoyed. And looks he's on the up with this series of Adolescence.

I saw him on the Jonathan Ross show the other week and he comes across really well.

Thought he was superb in the first episode, was a little disappointed not to see him feature more in the series.

Not seen Top Boy, will add it to the list 👍🏼

Have you seen the Top Boy (summerhouse) and the Top Boy series? They are on Netflix as well, I really enjoyed them.

I've not seen any of them.

I'm in need of a few things to watch so thank you for the recommendations.

I'll report back with my Barry Norman review. 😉
