I forgot to say this earlier, Tuesday night I didn't know what the heck to watch, so I ended up watching The Godfather(1972), and for some reason I'd never seen it before. No doubt, you have all seen it, but wow what a film. It did make laugh though, at one point in the film Michael Corleone played by Al Pacino is running, and wow, it looks like a scene from Carlitos Way, 21 years in difference, and Al Pachino runs the same way. :)

Couldn’t agree more, after the first episode, it declined rather quickly. Everyone in the family, I have spoken to, agreed. All rather disappointing.

It’s a 3/10 for me, and the 3 points are for the acting, which was rather good, otherwise it’s a big fat zero.
Top recommendation. I’m definitely going to have to make time to watch it.

I thought I might mention this as we are on the subject of series and movies, Tesco club card currently are offering 3 months free of Disney+, Just go on to your Tesco club card app, and if you scroll down, you should see the offer. Some decent stuff on there, Shogun is definitely worth a look, and could come in handy for the kids, grandkids with Easter approaching. Just remember to cancel. Mine says 7 days till expiry.

Is shogun one of those foreign shows which has English dubbed over it?

Like Monkey.
Used to love that as a kid.

I’m sure I tried watching Shogun before and it was dubbed. Netflix is terrible for it, loads of Scandinavian shows on there with the same sounding English voiceover on them all. I cannot watch anything like that because I spend all the show just looking at their lips, puts me right off my stroke 🙄

Shougun is worth a watch.

If my memory serves me right it has subtitles in parts.

There was a BBC Shogun series decades ago. I assume this is a remake, based on the same book. I don’t think I’ve ever seen either.

Shogun IS worth a watch.
Better than the original series with Richard Chamberlain in that the cinematography is so superior these days. The original was great for its time. The book is definitely worth a read, but there again that’s all subtitles.😉

Shogun is good well worth it

We started watching Last one Laughing on Prime, hilarious as they are all coming in and for first 5 mins but then as the premesis is not to smirk or laugh but make others we didnt so it kinda dies on it's arse

I signed up for the promo using my club card points and I'm glad I did. Just renewed after the three months was up.

Also just finished season one of Top Boy. It's a depressing insight to that world.

Is there any wonder these kids are stabbing each other if that's the culture they are surrounded by.

Titanic in colour, Channel 4 just finished.
Worth a catch up.👍

I think the first two seasons (the ones they call Top Boy summerhouse) were originally on Channel 4, and then it was revived by of all people Drake, personally I think whatever input he had in making the newer episodes, he did a damm fine job, the newer seasons are way more polished.

Edit: Well you learn something new everyday, after re-reading that BBC article, I then discover that Ashley Walters sang on the So Solid Crew song, 21 seconds.
