• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I read all the Bosch books before the tv series and the problem I had was not the mixing of the books but the changing of events from the books themselves. His wife, for example has a different relationship with him, I think, in the series.
If you’ve not read any of the books, which are superb, the series as a standalone is excellent. I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the tv series also.
Just to add that Titus Welliver is not far off what I imagined Bosch to be like and he did a great job with the part.
And one of the best parts was the jazz. Suited the mood every time. 👍
The actor which fitted my mental image of Bosch from the novels the best was Ed Harris, but I'm OK with Welliver.

Just finished Andor and Goliath, both thoroughly enjoyable!

Looking forward to watching Mobland very soon, saw a trailer the other day, and it look's pretty decent.

Agree about Grace, especially the bloke who plays Branson, not so much his looks as the whole feel of the character.
Then again, if Tom Cruise can play Jack Reacher I can play Miss Marple.
Ironically, David Morrissey who.plays DI Thorne in the TV adaptions of some of Mark Billingham's books, is exactly how I imagined Grace to look like

I need to watch more TV.
Lol actually I realised recently how little "as broadcast" TV I do watch these days. Apart from the football it's pretty minimal I'd say. I seem to spend more time watching stuff on YouTube

I'm not really a fan of gangster tv yet I had a look at Mobland on Paramount and have actually stopped scrolling on my phone to watch it.

It seems to me that Tom Hardy always plays what is essentially the same character but I'm ok with it as he's just so damned watchable.

In the week I will try and catch the weather and the news headlines at either 6pm or 10pm. On the rare occasion there is nothing to do on a Sunday I will happily binge watch footy or cricket, but that’s about it. I think it’s a sign I need to create a little more ‘me’ time.

Been watching Mobland, absolutely brilliant. Tom Hardy is superb in it.

Gave up on watching the finale of Dr Who earlier , will try again at a later time to see it through .

Instead finished binge watching Death Valley screened entirely in Wales mind . Timothy Spall and the cast where pretty tidy like .

Jury is still out if it worked as a long term effort .
