• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I'm sure I read somewhere that scott is already on the lookout for loan, frees in the european b leagues.

Is Tremmel still a scout for us in Germany? Has he found anyone?

Correct, but is that down to Birch or the owners? 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Americans appointed Birch to get the club running sustainably so the answer can only be both. It was the only thing they could do to rectify their own mistake in letting Jenkins continue to run the club unsupervised for as long as they did.

However, huge revenue for 7 years, without a significant surplus saved for a rainy day

Imagine how that would have been received? There were enough people bitching that we didn't spend every last penny of the Sigurdsson money as soon as we received it as it was, never mind if some of it had been held back for a "rainy day". Football supporters aren't interested in whether a club is solvent or not until the birds come home to roost. They just want money spent, and woe betide the chairman or owner who tries to explain that to them.

Even now there are those who seem to think that mystery millions are being tucked away which could be spent on players, or screaming for "investment". Eejits.

Cooper’s coaching is apparently top notch, so more of the same along with attracting high quality loanees.

His Management skills - tactical setups and man-management, need improving.

Would imagine Birch has recognised this and is implementing his plans.

I bloody hope so, as there is quite some work to do.

If his coaching is top notch why haven't players improved?
May have gone backwards.
Cabango improved by playing at a higher level and Guehi was a different player having come back to Swansea after lockdown.
Anyone else?
Nope.
