• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

What next for Harry Darling as contract discussions said to be "shelved"

Bristol and Birmingham interested, could see us cashing in tbh.

Why would he bother going now though? Unless they offer him something silly. He may as well wait it out and then he could still sign for either (and probably get a bigger signing on fee).

Especially as we're not in a position to drop him and leave him out in the cold.

His agent has told him he can get him a better deal elsewhere....mainly by being a free agent he will get a "substantial" signing on fee which will be a boost even if he gets only a small increase to his basic wage.

It's where we are as a club.......

He is a decent player, I'd prefer the club letting leave on a free than getting held to ransom and paying him over the odds each month.

There was rumours of him wanting 35K a week 🤣

How much is Pedersen on, the bloke that's been an utter waste of space & never plays?

My guess is that what’s next for Darling is signing for another club; we missed our window to extend his contract and now he’s had his head turned and we’ll get nothing for one of our best assets.

Hopefully there’s enough interest in him to tempt some into coughing up a fee now rather than compete with others for a free transfer in the summer.

Getting rid of Pedersen means finding someone willing to take him off our hands. That’s easier said than done.

Bristol and Birmingham in for Darling apparently

The club should take a business view from this. He is going the second he is not signing a contract. All this nonsense about concentrating on their football and look at it at the end of the season is pure horseshit. We can pay him for the rest of the season and say thanks or we can get something realistic now, if of course he agrees.
I think Darling is a very decent player and should be groomed or made captain now but pragmatically he can go if he is holding out.
