What on earth is going on in Powys?

An investigation into their conduct is called for. Something doesn’t smell right in more ways than one.

There's are more poultry sheds in Powys, all put up over the last 15 years, than the whole of the UK.
They stink too.
A lot of the County Councillors are farmers. And guess what? They have a chicken shed.
Planning doesn't usually seem to be a problem, their mates on the Council pass them even when there are loads of objections.
 
No reason why chicken farms need to be in the countryside. They could be grown on industrial estates just as easily. There must be vast empty capacity on industrial areas around the UK. That area of Powys and into Shropshire, along with Anglesey and parts of North Wales have vast numbers of farms. 110,000 is big by UK standards, but pretty normal in the US where 500,000 bird farms are fairly normal. Scotia, who mainly posts on 'tother site knows a lot about the environmental impacts. When you realise around 30 million chickens are slaughtered in the UK each week you start to see the impact
