• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

An investigation into their conduct is called for. Something doesn’t smell right in more ways than one.

There's are more poultry sheds in Powys, all put up over the last 15 years, than the whole of the UK.
They stink too.
A lot of the County Councillors are farmers. And guess what? They have a chicken shed.
Planning doesn't usually seem to be a problem, their mates on the Council pass them even when there are loads of objections.

No reason why chicken farms need to be in the countryside. They could be grown on industrial estates just as easily. There must be vast empty capacity on industrial areas around the UK. That area of Powys and into Shropshire, along with Anglesey and parts of North Wales have vast numbers of farms. 110,000 is big by UK standards, but pretty normal in the US where 500,000 bird farms are fairly normal. Scotia, who mainly posts on 'tother site knows a lot about the environmental impacts. When you realise around 30 million chickens are slaughtered in the UK each week you start to see the impact
