• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

An exciting goalscoring attacking midfielder with pace?

Nah we will keep Cundle on loan - no disrespect to him I think he's OK - and sell Whittaker.

Talk about short sighted. Where would we look to play Ogbene? Up front when he has 10 goals in 120 odd games?

Are we really in for Ogbene though, how many times have we been linked to players and those links haven't amounted to anything, could be all smoke and mirrors again.

Probably right Max. Think the rumours don't go away with him though. I mean he ticks the Martin box for prolific scoring anyway :D

Whittaker is staying it seems, whether Martin will play him is another matter though, maybe Ogbene, is, out of his reach.

A front 3 of Whittaker Piroe Ogbene sounds exciting.

I know nothing of Ogbene to be honest, never taken any interest in him, be different if he does come here of course, but its a big IF, if you ask me.

Not seen a great deal of Whittaker either, looked ok he the games he's appeared in, but can't say much more than that.

If Paterson is back cwtching Martin then I don't see much hope for him, personally I'd like to play Whitts behind Piroe or along side him, but its a partnership that needs to be worked on, on the Training pitch and then given enough game time to test it fully.
I don't think we have anything to lose this season by trying different things, as I can't see us progressing to far up the table and likewise down the table.

Ipswich are signing Nathan Broadhead for 7 figures by all accounts.
Can't see a league 1 side signing two £1 million+ forwards in one window.
