Who stays who goes?

Hopefully there's a chance to give Lissah, Abdulai, Smith, Cotterill and Lloyd some senior opportunities before the end of the season. Get Josh Thomas on the pitch if he's back fit in time, Parker too. If our recruitment goes as badly as it did last summer we'll need some from that group to step up before long. Or maybe some more 17 year olds I've not seen before will jump the queue.

In an ideal world we'd have taken 4 or even 6 points over Easter, which would have put us safe and left Williams free to experiment.

Too much of a risk to throw these boys into a relegation scrap now though imo. Not fair on them, not right for the club.

But next season if we are lucky enough to be in Championship again, absolutely. Give them some football. Get them in matchday squads. Let's see what they're made of.

Well we're already throwing Govea on to try to get something out of games. Doubt any of those lads would consider it unfair to get a run out whatever the circumstances. They've all played vastly more football against grown men than Aimar has.

Lets face it, they certainly couldn't do any worse than the current lot of supposed first team players.

I would move on Wood, Naughton, Walsh Allen, Fulton, Yates, Walsh and Cooper.

50/50's Pato, Cullen, Cabango

I would give Mylo a chance and try and keep Shemy and Lowe.

The core to build around - Rushworth. Key, Darling, Grimes, Parker, Govea, Ronald, Tymon, Ginnelly.

New spine especially needed

They've all played vastly more football against grown men than Mykola Kukharevych since he's joined us, fact ...

Tempted to keep Allen for his experience, always handy to bring on when trying to see games out. I guess it would all depend on wages, maybe a role on the coaching staff if that's a route he wants to go down.

It's always good to have someone who gets the club and the city on the books. Let's be honest either way Williams will move on at some point.

I don't trust the decision makers to replace our dross with anything better to be honest.
Even when they spend money they seem to specialise in wasting it.
Sadly, our decline will continue and I'll be very pleasantly surprised if we're not in the thick of the relegation battle next season.

To be fair they seem to have a knack of replacing dross with even worse dross. At least they're consistent with their approach.

Cooper needs to be moved on too, shame because I really thought we had a playmaker in the making last season but he's gone backwards at a rate of knots, Joey wouldn't be worth another season imo but I think they will give him another 12 months, would like to see the back of Fisher but can't see anyone stupid enough to take him off our hands, same with Yates and Fulton...
Never seen a lot in Cooper to be honest, one or two red letter games apart.

We need to move on from Joe Allen and lets not give him a pity coaching contract just because he's from the area

We need to learn the mistakes of the past and signing him two years ago was one of those. Said so at the time.

We gave postmen Jonny Grey a coaching roll because of his exploits at West End and Waggy Richards a stint simply because he was a shyt player for us 30 years ago, so Joey should be a shoein for the "jobs for the boys club" Phil...😀

Or a job in the Royal Mail 😂👍

I get what you're saying. The complete lack of experience within the squad is a concern.
