• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Why Swansea City’s Director of Football Move Is the Turning Point the Club Desperately Needs

We’ve had a shill on here for the last couple of years telling us how great it was going to be when Cravatt and Co took over, people bought in to it, the campaign worked. If it had been made clear that a football club was going to be run by a tipster working from home it might not have sounded quite so exciting.
That certainly be some clear after the even but I must defend the owners and say that they are on the front foot and I think their intentions are good.
I believe they can turn things around but I think they have had a massive smack of reality given the summer spend and Sheehan's ultimate failure after getting the job permanently.......these are things that they are not in control of and have ultimately been advised due to their lack of experience in running a club.

There is potential here to have something to be proud of at this club if they can get the foundations in place. There will be some tough decisions and calls to be made by them......I just hope they are willing to make them in time.

No, apologies if my initial post indicated that.

Personally I think this lot are a breath of fresh air.
Let’s hope that we can make progress. The new manager has a likeable personality so let’s hope results follow. I don’t know if I was in a minority not wanting Hellberg but I also felt this new guy could have been the filling in a shit sandwich a few weeks ago - he was dealt a bad hand when he joined but he seems to have enough about him to get through it. IMO the manager leads the club and the fans, not the board, so I just hope he gets the support he needs from behind the scenes to do his job properly.

Mistakes happen, if they bring back a DOF they’ll be acknowledging a bit of a cock-up imo, nothing really wrong with that.

I think they will. Their intentions seems to be the right ones. We all make mistakes, let's hope they continue to learn from theirs.

Hopefully Matos background and working with Klopp has rubbed off and he leads from the front. I have to agree that the manager is the one who sets the scene along with the supporters.

What's Birch up to? That's the last time I felt e were actually being run half properly.
Wonder who they're looking at or if they have any names in mind?
Get this appointment right and we could be cooking in the next 12-18 months, especially if they back Matos as much as they did Sheehan.
He’s the chief executive of the EFL now, he was on the pre show for a match the other week.
