• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Or was Mark Fotheringham the man O'Dea replaced the one who gave Sheehan that success?
Fotheringham is back working under Martin O'Neil and Shaun Maloney at Celtic and is being credited with Celtic's upturn in form since before and after Wilfred Nancy.

It did seem strange at the time that the only person on the staff with significant experience as a coach and some as a manager was not kept on after the success at the end of last season.

Clearly there may have been a whole host of reasons for that which I’m not privy too but if it was a club/Sheehan decision then it appears a wrong one.

I don't believe it but let's suppose that O Dea's influence screwed us while Sheehan was the head coach this season.
Doesn't say much for Sheehan if he lets someone below him wield so much influence on the team and results suffer.
If Sheehan is that weak he's pathetic.
O'dea's influence and Sheehan's acceptance of this influence = The Sack.

Serioulsy though it will be interesting to see if Sheehan appoints O'Dea to his coaching staff when he gets a new job.
