Anyone know when the players are due back? Got to be within the next 7-10 days?

Will we have a new manager in place? Not good news if Michu is to be believed that we haven’t even interviewed 1 candidate yet, we’ll be left with Nathan Jones.

Off to Spain next week I think.

No games though which is a shame!

Yeah don't sweat it, it's the Swansea way.

Very true, wouldn’t be us if we were prepared for once.

Not ideal is it. Not a single new signing to start pre-season either.

I can't see Nathan Jones leaving his paid holiday for us under these circumstances though.

Due back for Pre Season 2nd of July I think.

Back in training Fri 23rd, to check in - medical stats etc

Jet off to Spain on Sunday as Risc says

Spain is about intense conditioning with the physio team, so doubt the players are fussed whether a new manager is on board, the manager has minimal input for these sessions (despite RM’s lame excuses).

That last bit is absolutely horse sh**. Physio's have nothing to do with conditioning. This first week in Spain will be the start for a manager to integrate any new players to their philosophy and start integrating any new ideas for the upcoming season. Usually a good mix of tactical and starting to building up the player's conditioning based on the requirements of the manager's style. It will all be meticulously planned a certain % of running done each day and over the week, building towards playing 45 mins in the first friendlies and ramping up every week towards the first competitive game.

The issue is that the fitness coach is one of Russ' boys, so won't be involved. Without the correct manager and fitness guys in place there won't be any aim to the conditioning. So it will just be quite generic and a change to what they did last season. And if the new manager isn't appointed until later in pre season there could be an issue if the training style changes drastically as players take time to adjust to it, especially if their part way through building their fitness.

Its vital the manager is in place with his staff before the players come back, so they can plan exactly how pre season will go, what they will be asked to do in games come the start of the season, and how they can simulate that in training.

Imagine we bring in a manager who wants to high press with half of pre season over, will be a massive change in tactics and physical requirements for the players.

Let's hope it gets done by the middle of next week.

As he is still employed by us surely Russ should be at pre season? I know very unlikely but saints could easily pull out of this.

Also has a kit launch been this early before? Again I maybe wrong but just appears to be anything to deflect from what is going on.

The likelihood is Russ leaves next week and we will have an inspiring press release from our chairman saying we will endeavor to find the right man for the job. What must the players be thinking.
