• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Wasn’t Williams the 'brains' behind Martins philosophy
The way I read how their partnership developed initially was that Martin was the...ahem...ideas man...and Williams was the guy who helped organize and set-up teams tactically to implement those ideas. I'm sure after time, RM became more his own man and took more on himself, but that was the dynamic initially if I recall when RM moved from playing to coaching and linked up with LW.

Regardless of all the will he or won't he this week, I've had enough of watching Swansea City managed by Luke Williams.

Forget how shit/good the squad is, the football since he's been here has been absolutely dreary. I couldn't tell you what our style of play is or if the fella has a plan A let alone a plan B.

Time to part ways in the summer.

I'm not sure what people have to support here in Luke Williams.

We are two points better off than this stage last season despite having the apparently awful Duff and caretaker Sheehan.

Still seeing shocking displays sandwiched between the good. We haven't progressed one bit.

I mentioned the other day that he can't alter the way we play depending on the opposition.

We set up the same way regardless of us playing Leeds or Plymouth. It's why we are so inconsistent.

We aren't going anywhere with this fella in charge.

"It's a situation that I didn't help. I created a lot of the noise without meaning to," said Williams.

"There's been no contact from West Brom to me or my agent or the football club. There's been no contact at all.

"In fact, my agent has been quite unwell and been in bed for most of the Christmas period, then he phoned me up and said, 'What have you done? What's going on?'

"I'm pleased that's behind us. The players were excellent today. Certainly my group looked like they were unaffected by all the noise."

The players were not excellent today... where does he dig these comments up from.

I think we all agree the football is pretty dismal, boring, uninspiring etc - but the question you have to ask is, what would sacking Williams actually achieve?

What manager is out there that is any good, available, within our price range (remember, the club is tight as a duck's arse) and would actually want to come?

Is there someone out there who can magically make players like Vipotnik mobile?

Who will stop Tymon going walkies and not bothering defending, bear in mind he used to do it for Stoke as well?

Who can stop Eom and Ronald being flimsy and shite?

Who can make Joe Allen 21 again?

And many more problems besides.

Only Vigoroux and Franco look proper Championship players, i.e. could play for a top 6 side.

The problem isn't Williams. It's our shite, flimsy, half arsed squad. That's what needs to change, en masse.
