Mass extinction event needed. Hire a DOF who has no connections to anyone at the club and ask them to rip it all out and start again. Ask them to hire a new manager with no connection to anyone at the club, and if a managerial candidate mentions the term 'Swansea way' in the interview, immediately end it and move on.

Martinez is noted as the pioneer of the Swansea way but I remember a lot of pragmatism when he was in charge.

I mean we players like Darren Pratley who was simply an athlete when Jackett was in charge but became a really good asset with his power and athleticism in a team that was about moving forward up the pitch at pace with incisive passing and well directed long passes. Switching play is a tremendous asset.

Rodgers added more solidification to this style but it all followed.

P1ssing around with 75% possession is not what got us success.

I just fear we’re going to end up with a long ball merchant which means relegation.

There must be someone out there who will take risks and is their own man.
