How about instead of always attacking other posters for their cogent rationale for Williams’ obvious schoolboy level flaws, and his CV-embellishing selfishness - you make a cogent, rational case for his defence.

Yes we can look at the squad and lack of quality in it. Ultimately the manager is responsible for the style of play, the team selection and the in game decision making.

At this moment in time it is getting harder and harder each week to make any sort of defence for Williams.

You can't polish a turd. You can try, but you just can't.

It's 80-90% down to crap players. Williams is making mistakes, sure, but he can only work with what he's got and what he's got is not very much at all.
