Williams Trip Called Off.

John Hughes, Keith Walker and Paul Chalmers all signed 89/90 season
John Hughes was raw, but he was a monster player rough and ready and could score goal's, wish we had players of their ilk here now.

Sky Walker was a great signing and gave it all for The Swans .

Bumped into him one night in a Gorseinon boozer , he was with David Penny after a game .

Never understood a word he said , his Scottish accent was so strong .

Sky was a tidy guy , Penny was really peed off he never got off the bench that day .

You’ll never beat Keith Walker

I bumped into him five or so years ago on Wind Street, lovely guy who I got to know a bit when we put his name on the wall of fame, he was probably one of the proudest I’ve seen watching that happen

Proper JB

I was probably a little young to remember seeing Keith Walker play, But I always remember his name, because my first game down the swans, with my dad, was a night game against Barnet, and we sat in the upper tier of the family stand down the vetch. There was a guy with drum in the back of the stand and one of the chants he did the most was shouting "KEITH......SKYWALKER!".

My dad had started to take me about the year before this and not 100% sure if this is correct as I was 8, but I’m sure Keith hit the bar from the halfway line in the home cup game against Liverpool.

Keith Walker was a big reason why we went on that superb league run that seems us eventually lost to Northampton in the play off final.

Walker was out of contract at the end of the 96 season, those days there was no bosman and we held his registration despite his contract ending. After numerous attempts for him to move on,Walker signed a contract a few games into the 1996/97 season and there was no coincidence shortly afterwards after a 2-1 home win against the top team Wigan that we went on hell of a run.

Superb player for us at the time.

With Joe Low supposedly following the clubs accounts and players on social media, maybe the deal is close?

Think it's too much of a coincidence that Abdulai is on his way and then this happens.

Probably the extra few hundred k from Abdulai has pushed it over the line.

On another note where is Luke's pre match press conference or do they not bother with them midweek?

When LW mentioned going to Holland my memory tells me he said he would be going back in the week to see another player.

Anyone remember?

35 years on and the transfer words are still said today.

There must be a manager's manual around.
