With emotions still high, we all want him gone, but I have a horrible feeling about all of this. He won't. What worries me is, the club is clearly worried about having to pay off Williams if goes, be that in installments. And it effecting The P&S restriction. The point being, the chances of Williams staying for another 2 and half years is slim to non. But will they hold off on getting rid in order to balance things out. Sadly it will be too late. I have not felt this low in a long time and cannot remember the last time I cared so little about the results. The problem is I feel like I am lieing to myself if I get behind the team while he is in charge. Basically I am supporting him. And that helps him, Wlliams. On the flip side we need results. How screwed up is that.

I asked this on another thread but don't think I got a response, but how much is Williams being paid and what would the compensation be, anyone know?

Well if we pay as low as some suggest we pay people (yet are losing millions hand over fist) then it should be less than 10k.

Say 8k a week that would be about £1m for 2.5 years compensation?

I’d be surprised if he was on anything big, coming from newly promoted team in league 2, probably under 10K a week.

Championship manager on £10k a week?? Surprised if it's that low

I bet the variation in manager salaries is huge in the Championship, possibly more than any other league? You've got some very inexperienced managers, sometimes promoted from League Two clubs, against some big names relegated from the PL.

I mean, if Luke is on £10k a week, that's still a hefty £2m per year. Not bad for someone of his inexperience.

So that might mean closer to £2m compo I guess
All depends if the club have any performance related clauses in the contract.

If he were to go it could be a mutual parting of the ways with a settlement payment agreed by him and the club.

If I had to guess, we're possibly looking at roughly £1 million in compensation, give or take 100k either way.

That's based on him earning 16k ish a week.

10k a week would be £520,000 a year not £2m ?

I understand that normally a club pays a sacked manager until they get another job.
Then a deal is struck for what remains on the contract.
