Doesn't matter now. If he doesn't play well he will be crucified whatever they say. Score a goal and he'll have his name sung. Martin's press conference said everything. To 'get what he wants' in the summer, he needs to do it on the pitch. It's in his interest to give it his all, but he's done himself no favours. Whatever anyone says, we know it.
