• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Just watched the Freeski Mens Half Pipe final dear me that's spectacular, unfortunately for the favourite he crashed on his final run, I'm still struggling to believe that he walked away from it, it looked a bad one.
Those guys and girls are mad fair play.

Enjoying every second, just watched the womens big hill jump, absolutely mental.
Mens freestyle big air on atm, great stuff.
Fearless aren't they, great spectacle to watch though, I know lots have been setup for the Olympics, but Cortina looks a cracking venue for a Skiing holiday.

Innit just watched the final, Groepper hit the deck, must have hurt himself, hell of a smash. I was think that myself, looks a stunning place.👍

I follow the x country skiing and biathlon every year, especially H Klaebo and the Norwegians. Klaebo has just one his sixth gold of the tournament in the 50k and it was a Norwegian 123. GOAT.

Those competitors must be super fit, its an incredible gut busting event, two of the best contenders dropped out on the course, one was or has been ill though.

Been a nasty crash in the four man Bobsleigh, the driver been hurt, hope he's not to bad.

Men’s curling final on the BBC now. Britain 2-1 up. Still very early days.

I thought the “hammer” alternated. Every day’s a school day….

The team that throws last in an end has the hammer — a significant strategic advantage, since the last stone can knock opponents out or sneak into scoring position. The team that scores in an end gives up the hammer for the next end. A blank end (no points scored) allows the team with the hammer to keep it — teams will sometimes deliberately blank an end to retain last-stone advantage.

Scoring one point with the hammer is considered a poor result; ideally, the team with the hammer scores two or more. At Beijing 2022, Sweden’s men’s team (led by Niklas Edin) won gold by consistently leveraging multi-point hammer ends.

Same here. Like throwing first in darts, I assumed it alternates as it’s an inherent advantage. Silly rule.
