• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Women’s game come on leaps and bounds, still a lot of work to do but players like James can lead the way. I’ve enjoyed what I have seen so far.

They have an issue with their goalkeeping though, don’t know if it’s anatomical or technical. Smaller hands, average female height vs large goal dimension thing.

I haven't watched a lot of the tournament, so not going to argue with your point in general, but the Swedish goalkeeper was superb yesterday. One effort that was curling in to the corner produced a save that male professional goalkeepers would have been delighted to make.

Good battling performance by Columbia to put Jamaica out. Next up for the 'Cafeteras' is England, who won't find it easy against this lot.

Couldn't get my head around history repeating itself, and an immensely talented England number 7 kicking out at an opposition player and receiving a red card in the knockout stages of the WC, before the match going to a penalty shootout.

The difference this time England being on the winning side of the shootout.

I’m probably on my own here, but I think yellow was sufficient. She didn’t kick out, or stamp, just stood on her with her weight (you pay for that in Thailand 🤣). It was a rush of blood but a pussycat result. Some of the tackles getting yellow, or getting nothing,. are far more dangerous.

And drawing comparisons with beckham is flawed. James looks far more talented.

You are on your own, Monnie. Under the laws of the game, it was violent conduct and a straight red.

Australia v France into extra time and the definition of squeaky arse time

Aussies have chance to win the shootout with a goal

They choose the keeper to take

Keeper hits the post.

Aussies knock out France on pens in the most ridiculous PK shootout I've ever seen

Enjoyed that it was a great game including the pen shootout, fair play some very skilled and cultured players out there.

Mary Earps with a David Seaman moment there.

Colombia are just great. Mean yet flashy.

England into the semi final.

Rightly favourites to go on and win it now.

Although Australia are the only team to have beaten them under SW.
