• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Should be sacked immediately.

Edit, I see she’s retracted, no doubt under pressure, but the grip on her head shows it’s anything but ‘mutually consensual’.

England can't be happy not to have won yet again, the population size of England, the money, the focus on the game compared to most of the World, I seen a quote from the England manager before/during the last World Cup saying making the semi finals would be a failure and they did lose in the semi finals for the third tournament running, they then managed to win the Euros on home soil (getting extra time wins over Spain and Germany - particularly lucky against Spain) and now another World cup comes along with the other strong nations in turmoil yet England don't quite get the job done.
It's all relative making a final for some countries would be an achievement for a big football country like England at this point in time, I don't think making the final was a success, it certainly wasn't a failure but not a success for them looking at the big picture.

He picked nearly every player off the ground while hugging them tightly!!

European champions and World Cup runners up.
That's an impressive CV for them by any standards.

I don’t know the stats and figures on amounts spent, with England, or any other team, but they were in it to win it, other teams like USA who basically bragged they won it before a ball was kicked were very poor, they certainly won’t be happy.
England however won’t be happy with the loss as a whole, but they got there, and on the back of being euro champs, that’s a good return surely?
A final is hugely competitive and no one has divine rights to win it, take yesterday, as we know Spain’s team wasn’t as strong as it could be, so we could point out that it was a huge missed opportunity, with the likes of Germany and USA and Australia gone, but England may have huffed and puffed their way there, but, they got there, and for me seemed lacking, but weren’t awful, just didn’t have that extra mile, I don’t disagree with you fully, but they will have said “let’s get to that final” and they did and fell short, but that happens in finals, great teams or considered better teams, lose, so I get what you’re saying, but the in between of a failure and success can’t be fully measured on the strength of the tournament as a whole, but it is a gold medal business, but I don’t think they should regard the whole thing as a failure just the overall result, they’ve not made a final before, so it’s progression, and I think the media both social and press are great at pumping expectations, then when there’s a loss the fall out is evident, those England women will be reflecting now on what could have been, but in a final I think it’s fair to say no team can ever say what should have been.

Is Trampie trying to pretend that Spain and its team are somehow very much inferior to England? 😂 It was an enjoyable game and Spain were the favourites, and they just about deserved to win in a tight match (imho). The English team should be proud of themselves.

Apparently Spain had never ever won a knockout match in a major tournament, without checking I think England were semi finalists in the World cup, then semi finalists in the Euro's, then semi finalists in the World cup again, then Euro winners, and now World cup finalists.

Little old Spain hey beat England
