• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Spanish continue to slay those that come before them, currently 5-0 up against Zambia

Looking forward to Canada v Ireland at 1pm

Germans losing 1-0 to Colombia at the moment, this would be seismic

Germans havent lost in the group stage since 1995

30 mins left.

Germans with a penalty to make it 1-1

What a fantastic team Colombia are.

Have seen a few games and the standard is absolute crap. The fact that its 'women's game's is the sole reason for the coverage. For sheer enjoyment they'd be better showing the ' homeless ' world cup. Standard be far higher.
If England wernt as good as being touted, this debacle wouldn't be near any TV over here.

Christ on a bike, have a day (make that a month) off, will you? It's patently obvious that the women's game has come on in leaps and bounds over the last few years, and will only get better. You can't expect them to play exactly as men (thank god). Personally I'm glad to see players who don't go down as if poleaxed when being barely tapped. As for the standard, I'd be happy to see one of our players score a goal as good as James did in the last England game. Still some knuckle-draggers around on here, I see.

If Messi or Ronaldo had scored the goal that 18 year old did for Columbia the media would have been creaming over it for months.

Germany are twice World champions themselves, lost in the Euro final to England last summer and without a defeat in the group stage for some 28 years.

Colombia are a decent team by international standards but what they did today was still a massive shock. The game is moving further and further ahead, at a rate of knots, in 4 years its going to be even better.

Oh and that header, dare I say no male player would have the natural flexibility to contort their body like that? outstanding, she folded herself like an accordion.
